The NEPTUNUS eMotion System is a powerful, electric- pulse lavage system for use in orthopedics and trauma surgery. It combines high irrigation performance with quiet operation enabling precise cleaning of bone surfaces. Two power levels support controlled, efficient work with optimal ergonomics.
NEPTUNUS eMotion in Detail
The system consists of an electrically operated, resterilisable handpiece with a durable aluminum housing and a connection cable (12V, IP58). Two irrigation attachments are available for use with the NEPTUNUS eMotion system, covering different requirements in the operating room:
- Short attachment: for direct and wide-area bone cleaning
- Long, flexible attachment: ideal for hard-to-reach anatomical areas
A removable, adaptable splash guard with integrated stop function ensures safe use.
The irrigation sets are designed as single-use components and are made from high-quality, medically approved materials. They are free of PVC, latex, and phthalates and carry the „Phthalate Free“ label. The proven suction geometry ensures reliable removal of irrigation fluid, bone fragments, and tissue particles.

NEPTUNUS eMotion is designed as a hybrid system: Only the irrigation sets are disposable items. The handpiece, cable, and power supply are reusable and can be reprocessed. Compared to conventional disposable systems, this concept reduces:
- Plastic and electronic waste by up to 75%
- CO₂ emissions over the entire product life cycle by up to 84%
Production in Germany, reusable components, and transparent supply chains underline its environmental commitment. The packaging is space-saving and made entirely from paper and cardboard-based materials.

Why has this system proven itself? First, its jet lavage effectiveness is outstanding compared to competitors, as the surgeon can intuitively select between two intensity levels depending on the bone structure.
Secondly, the well-balanced, securely fixed yet removable front section can also be used universally for irrigating hard-to-reach joint areas. The shape and material consistency of the attachment enable targeted irrigation without significant spray dispersion, combined with effective suction. There is no need to change the suction hose on the operating theatre suction unit.
From an environmental perspective, the lavage stands out for its reusability and PVC/phthalate-free materials. The new NEPTUNUS eMotion model is even more ergonomic, quieter, and more effective. We can therefore highly recommend this system.
